    An air born algae from trees the attaches to shingles and causes discoloration, and the breakdown of the shingle.

    What kind of ventilation can I use on my roof?

    Ridge-vents are the preferred method of ventilation, box vents and gabled end venting will also work.

    Will siding crack or fade?

    Siding can fade over years of sun abuse and can crack from hail damage. Different materials used for siding can help with fading, cracking, or even help to better insulate your home.

    How often do I need to replace siding?

    Siding can last anywhere from 20-40 years depending on quality of siding used.

    Is a full siding job the only option?

    Depending on the fading that has already occurred repair work can be done but the color might not match exactly. It is preferred to do a minimum of one whole face of the house with a similar color so the homeowner wont be able to see the differences between new and weathered.

    What siding material do you recommend using?

    Our customers prefer Ply Gem's Mastic Vinyl siding because it is durable and budget friendly.

    Is there Maintenance involved after a siding job?

    Yes, every couple of years vinyl should be power washed to keep its new appearance. Algae can form from the elements leaving behind a green organic substance. Light chemicals can be used on tough spots but the pressure wash will clean most, to all.

    My home was damaged by hail, what is the turn time to fix this?

    Depending on the scope of the project it can take 1-2 weeks. Going through insurance to pay for siding damage can take 1-2 months
