Marcus has been knocking doors in the roofing industry since 2016, gaining experience with several companies before helping launch Allied Exteriors. He’s been with Allied for nearly four years, joining just after the company’s founding. What Marcus enjoys most is making a real impact, especially helping young adults and those looking for a second chance find purpose, direction, and success in this industry.
Marcus is originally from Kendallville, Indiana, and has lived in the Fort Wayne area for about eight years. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and two boys, and he’s also heavily involved in youth baseball as a board member with Hamilton Park Little League. One thing people might not expect about Marcus is that he enjoys playing chess. When it’s time to unwind, you can often find him at his favorite local spot, Conner’s Rooftop in downtown Fort Wayne.
To Marcus, quality workmanship means going above and beyond for the customer—right down to the final cleanup. One project that stands out to him involved an Army veteran named Jon in Fort Wayne. Jon was on a fixed income and couldn’t afford a new roof, so in the early days of Allied Exteriors, the team covered the cost themselves—not knowing if the company would even survive its first year. “It just felt right to help him,” Marcus recalls.
He builds customer trust by setting clear expectations from the very first conversation, ensuring homeowners know exactly what to expect from start to finish. The best advice he’s ever received? “Attitude is altitude”—a reminder that mindset can take you as far as you’re willing to go.
